My primary work is fired in an electric kiln at my home studio. This method of firing allows me to use lots of bright colors and showcase my surface design with the most clarity.

Whenever the opportunity arises, I love to wood fire! Although laborious, wood firing is a wonderful way to invite warmth and depth into my pots and its collaborative nature provides an invaluable connection with my clay community.

Like wood firing, I leap at the chance to soda fire my work. Soda firing has a wild and unpredictable nature that has produced some of the most beautiful pots I've ever made (and destroyed just as many).
